As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will:
■ Ensure the reliability of the database in terms of design, operation, and scalability
■ Monitor and improve database performance
■ Conduct business simulation, focal point analysis, and build on automation efforts
■ Investigate system performance, resolve errors and problems on the database layer
■ Build and maintain services, automation, and tooling
■ Coordinate with internal teams, mainly engineering teams and product owners
■ Promote a company culture of teamwork, cooperation, and communication
Main Requirements:
■ 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, data processing, data pipelining, or similar role
■ Experience in database reliability engineering, building and maintaining applicable software and/or tools
■ Experience with MySQL, Distributed Systems, AWS or virtualized API-driven platforms
■ Fluent communication skills in English
■ Ability to work independently and within a team, and to interact professionally with a diverse group, users, managers, clients, etc.
Welcome skills/experience:
■ experience in PostgreSQL or experience in automating Datastore Operations or Datastores as a Service (DaaS)
■ experience speaking and/or writing Japanese
